Privacy, in plain English.
The short version: Native Me has no accounts, no ads, no analytics trackers, and no server of ours storing your data. Your lessons, saved phrases, and progress live on your device. The only data that leaves your device relates to purchases, and it is anonymous.
What stays on your device
Your preferences, completed lessons, streak, saved phrases, and quiz activity are stored locally on your iPhone or iPad. The Home Screen widget reads the phrases you chose to save through Apple's app-group storage, which never leaves the device. This data is included in your normal device backups, and deleting the app deletes it.
Pronunciation audio
Pronunciation uses AI-generated voice recordings that were created during development and are bundled inside the app. The voice is not a human recording. Tapping play never sends your text, lesson data, or any request to a speech service — playback happens entirely offline, on your device.
Purchases
Payments are processed by Apple through your App Store account. We never see your name, email address, or payment details. To unlock Native Me Pro reliably across your devices, the app uses RevenueCat, a purchase-validation service. RevenueCat receives purchase receipt information from Apple together with a randomly generated anonymous identifier — not your identity. We use this to validate purchases, restore them, and understand aggregate sales. It is never used to track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell it to anyone.
Notifications
The optional daily reminder is scheduled locally on your device. There is no push notification server, and reminders can be turned off in the app or in iOS Settings at any time.
What we don't do
No advertising, no analytics SDKs, no tracking, no selling or sharing of personal data, no profiles, no accounts. The website is static and sets no tracking cookies.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes everything stored on your device. The app also offers a reset option in Settings. Because we hold no account for you, there is nothing on our side to delete apart from RevenueCat's anonymous purchase records, which are retained as required for purchase validation. Subscriptions themselves are managed entirely through your App Store account settings.
Children
Native Me is made for adult and young-adult English learners and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, children included.
Changes
If Native Me ever adds a feature that changes any of the above — for example opt-in analytics — this page will be updated first, with the effective date changed, before the feature ships.
Questions
Email hello@nativeme.app and a human — the same one who writes the lessons — will reply.
